1. A Long Line of Women
What happens when we silence our power? What happens when we do it for centuries? James Lewis comes from a long line of women with a dark and repressed history. Each generation has suffered in silence against the evil of the patriarchy, quietly passing the harmful ramifications down the maternal line across hundreds of years. As a wallflower, James has unknowingly been carrying out the family tradition all too well. She’s an expert at staying quiet, especially when she shouldn’t… Like when her mother doesn’t come home for days. Again. Or when the guy her sister idolizes torments her when no one’s watching. And even when it escalates, because her sister is the only good thing in her life. Until her sister begins to grow further away, and closer to her darkest secret. With only her mental anguish to keep her company, James gravitates towards an outsider who’s as neglected as she is, and unexpectedly finds one more thing that is truly good. But when warning signs appear in her sister’s new relationship, her worst secret starts to threaten more than just her psyche. As the only good things in her life begin to unravel, James must decide whether to finally use her voice in a world that demands her continued silence—not realizing just how deep the choice itself goes, nor how much is on the line this time. Her family, her first love, and the safety of women everywhere.
2. The Angels Were Growling
First they stole women’s power, then they stole their freedom, then they stole their lives. But in a war this horrifying, sometimes the only way out is just as dark. When James Lewis traded her tragic past for a fresh start, she thought she was leaving her family's troubled history and the devastating choice she made behind. A choice that claimed the ones she loved most. But her past is exactly what has led to an unfathomable future: a global war against women where James is living in a real-life nightmare, haunted by her mistake. Women everywhere are under the ownership and control of men, sold, abused and silenced, with no rights to stop it. And the war is only escalating, with more and more women killed by the day. As the situation becomes dire and her own life is threatened, James finds herself involved in a quiet scheme to take down the most powerful men, uncovering more of her family history in the process. But when both the scheme and her buried lineage prove far more sinister than James could have anticipated, putting one man she has unexpectedly grown to care for at risk, she's faced with another devastating choice. Between which side, and which haunting parts of her history, will make it out alive this time.
3. Womankind
It’s a new world where women have taken over power, determined to create a brighter future. But if you haven’t healed the dark past, it’s bound to cast a shadow. James has a new name and a seemingly new life. After enduring a gruelling war against women and barely making it out alive, she spends her days working at a rehabilitation facility where the surviving men are kept. They tell her things are better now. That this is the rise of humanity. But when James looks around her, all she sees are captive men, wounded women and the centuries-old curse that still quietly threatens to destroy them all. Then ghosts from James' past, both ominous and divine, unexpectedly reappear and things turn volatile. Forced into hiding while the new world collapses around her, James must reckon with the darkest parts of her history and reclaim her inherent power to save humanity’s future—at the risk of losing her own for good.
